MTV hat ihr Logo nach 29 Jahre aufgefrischt! Es ist nur leicht verändert worden, breiter und dicker wie man sehen kann. Die eigentliche Erneuerung ist, dass das Logo als Maske für Inhalte und Bilder verwendet wird. Diese Entwicklung haben wir in letzter Zeit bei einige neuen Aufritten gesehen, wie zum Beispiel bei New York Tourismus, Aol oder für beim den Olympischen Spielen in London.
Wer aber meint MTV springt einfach auf einen Trend auf der irrt. Wenn man es genau nimmt hat ja MTV den Trend ‘flexible identity’ irgendwie begonnen. Frank Olinsky der damals, 1981 bei Manhatten Design, bei der Entwicklung dabei war unterstreicht, dass man keine Farb- oder sonstigen Rahmenbediegungen gegeben hat. So mit wurde das Logo je nach Anwendungen und Künstler farbenfroh und sehr spezifisch verwendet.

Atreebutes – Streetstyle-Label

Unter dem Namen Atreebutes lancieren die beiden Schweizer Snowboarder Nicolas Müller und Fredi Kalbermatten Streetstyle-Label. Die zürcher Agentur an der Langstrasse /DEPARTMENT hat dafür das Brand Design und auch Teile der Kollektion mitentworfen. Das Initial wird über ein Handzeichen visualisiert, das sich kontextspezifisch anpassen kann. Eine flexibels Brandig ist für eine Modelabel, die auf ein grosse Variation von Prints und Styles angewiessen ist, durchaus sinnvoll.
Im Jahr 2010 sollte man die Ohren spitzen!

Für das kommende Jahrzehnt habe ich mir fest vorgenommen nicht nur die Augen offen zu halten, sondern auch die Ohren zu spitzen und immer schön hellhörig zu sein. Dabei scheue ich auch nicht auf traditionelle Mittel zurückzugreifen. Man kann von der Erfahrung anderer lernen, um sich selber zu entwickeln. Ich wünsche allen ein kreatives 2010.
